Stake Conference

We went to Stake Conference Sunday and there was a big enough turnout that we ended up sitting way back in the cultural hall. To make it easier to see the speaker, a projector was set up to show a zoomed-in view on a movie screen at one end of the cultural hall. Kami was sitting in the choir seats on the stand, and I told Lydia to look up at the "TV", there's Mommy singing! At the end of the meeting, I told her to "come on, we need to go meet Mom". Lydia looked up at the screen and said, "Is she going to come out of the TV?"

For more entertaining Stake Conference stories by Curtis, you will have to call him yourself!

Guess What I Saw?

I walked out to the garbage can this morning and this is what I found!!!!!

YEAH!!! Spring is coming!! (At least at our house!)

Growing Up & Brownies

Lydia: "Mom, when I grow up will you share your clothes with me?"

This morning we were getting ready to eat breakfast and Lydia got down the brownies and asked Maren if she wanted one. I told Lydia they weren't for breakfast. She replied with a "duh, Mom" look on her face, "They are just a snack!" Well, anyone that knows Maren, once she sees sweets, she doesn't forget it. So, I had to let them eat a brownie for their morning "snack.
(What you also do not know is that Maren and Curtis were puking yesterday and so brownie was the first thing Maren ate since Pedialyte and saltines yesterday!)

She's rocking herself to sleep!

Today, Lydia was playing with a friend. I told them I was going to take the baby up for a nap and to play downstairs quietly. Well, I changed a messy diaper and then set Maren in the rocking chair while I washed my hands. I came back to rock Maren and this is what I heard.

Friend: "She is is rocking herself to sleep!"
Lydia: "No she's not! My mom is!"
Friend: "I saw her! She was alone in the chair!"
Lydia:"No."
Friend: "Come and see."

When they peeked in the door, I was rocking Maren! Her friend said, "Well, she was by herself when I was up there."
