Lydia loves to come to our front door and ring the doorbell. We will regularly come in from the mailbox, but have to go in first and shut the door so Lyddie can ring and we can answer.
Tonight Maren and Lydia were standing on the front porch and rang the doorbell. Maren said, "Come in!" (No, she is not a blonde!)

Home Depot
This is a conversation from the other day:
L: "Mom, can we go to Home Depot tonight?"
M: "Why do you want to go to Home Depot?"
L: "To get my plunger."
M: "To get what?"
L: "You know, my plunger for the playhouse."
M: "You don't need a plunger!"
L: "Yes, I do!"
M: "Do you know what plungers are used for? ...They are used to unclog toilets. You don't have a toilet in the playhouse and you won't be getting one either!"
L: "But I need a toilet in the upstairs!"
M: "No, that would require water pipes and I KNOW your dad will not do that!"
Then, she goes on to tell her dad that she needs a plunger! Needless to say, we did not go to Home Depot!

A Family Band
Lydia just informed me that we need a "batar (guitar)" for her to play. Maren needs a drum and I get to play the horn. Then she said, "And what can dad play? ..... Oh, I know- Daddy can dance!"
