Family Reunions

Poor Maren

Maren has had a rough couple of days. Let me list the reasons why.

1.) We were out of town and stayed in a hotel. So, we went swimming and as we were all getting out- Maren slipped on the steps and started going drowning! That is an AWFUL feeling! I am grateful that I was able to get her out safely. That certainly makes your heart stop!

2.) Later she was in the hotel room and fell into the corner of the coffee table!

3.) To top that off, at our family reunion, she fell off the picnic table bench, face planting it into the cement.

4.) AND, last night while we were outside, she slid on some sand on the cement, fell on her head, getting a goose egg!

Poor Maren!

Lydia and Medicine

Lydia and medicine have never mixed. Vitamins, fluoride, tylenol....she will not take it without an ENORMOUS fight! On July 11th, we took Lydia into the doctor with her fever and sore throat. She actually had an ear infection. So, we have had to give her amoxicillin for the past nine days. I am pleased to announce that she is now taking it without kicking, screaming, tears, and being held down!! Two more doses and she is done!!

We are so very proud of her! Way to go, Lydia!
